Building Great Futures Together
About the Project
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake is expanding its services in two of Salt Lake County’s fastest growing neighborhoods – the Murray and the Fair Park communities – where youth are particularly at risk. These expansions will provide a safe place for youth and teens and give them an opportunity at a Great Future that might otherwise be out of their reach without the help of Boys & Girls Clubs.
Capitol West
The Capitol West Club is operating well beyond the capacity of our outdated and inefficient facility. Operating over capacity adversely affects the quality of programming and the safety of youth and staff. To remedy this, we plan to construct a new building just two blocks from our current location - still within walking distance of West High School. The new building will be designed with all the elements of a modern Clubhouse and allow for growth from 110 to up to 250 youth per day.
Murray Expansion
The newly expanded and remodeled Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Club is open and operational! The Grand Reopening held September 5th was a great success and our kids and teens are having a blast exploring the new amenities. The expansion has increased the program space available for over 100 additional elementary aged youth and provided modern upgrades to the Teen Center. The remodeled Club includes a Learning Center, STEAM Lab (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math), multi-purpose classrooms, and a safe lobby entrance with control desk.
Please join us in building great futures together:
