About the Sugar House Club

The Sugar House Club opened its doors in 1968, and today serves over 2,500 kids annually through licensed child care and sports programs. Programs at the Sugar House Club are fully licensed by the state of Utah, and every Club member has access to:

  • Full size gym
  • Fully equipped computer lab and technology center
  • Program curriculum developed by experts at Boys & Girls Clubs of America
  • A dedicated staff of trained Youth Development Professionals
  • Breakfast, lunch, and healthy snack provided daily

Programs and Pricing

The Sugar House Boys & Girls Club offers safe, affordable, and fully licensed child care. We're here to help your child start on the path to a great future. Our dedicated staff of Youth Development Professionals will engage your child in fun, educational, and developmentally appropriate activities.

Child Care and Juniors Programs

Juniors Program
Ages 4 - 6 Kindergarten 1st & 2nd grade 3rd - 6th grade
Full Day Pre-K and Kinder Care Half Day Kinder Care Before and After School Care Before and After School
$105 per week $90 per week $75 per week $60 per week




Transportation is provided to and from the following schools:
Emerson Elementary       Hawthorne Elementary       Highland Park Elementary
Millcreek Elementary       Nibley Park Elementary      Whittier Elementary

Transportation funded in part by a grant from Union Pacific Foundation.

Programs run 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Kinder care includes off-track kindergarten.
Registration includes daily breakfast, lunch, and a healthy snack. New registrations are subject to a one-time $25 registration fee.

Discounts are available for families eligible for child care assistance. State assistance payments accepted for qualifying families.


Teen Center

Our drop in Teen Center offers Club members a safe and fun place to go after school. Teen Club members enjoy:

  • Teen computer lab 
  • Homework help
  • Field trips
  • Arts
  • College and career prep
  • Character and leadership development
  • Cooking
  • Pool, foosball, and air hockey in the Games Room
  • Gym
  • Much more!

Transportation is provided to and from the following schools:
Highland High School       Clayton Middle School
Hillside Middle School       Nibley Park School

Van passes are $50 for the school year.


Teen School Year Program

Ages: 13 to 18
Hours: Monday through Friday: 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Cost: $20 annual membership fee



Teen Summer Program


Full Day Half Day
Hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Cost:* $50 per week + $20 membership fee $20 membership fee
Dates: June 11 - Aug 10 June 11 - Aug 10



*Weekly optional field trip fees apply to both full day and half day options.


Sports Programs

The Sugar House Club offers several fun and affordable sports leagues for kids, including Jr. Jazz and Biddy Jr. Jazz Basketball. All of our sports programs are open community leagues, and youth do not have to be Boys & Girls Club members to join a sports program. Learn more about our sports programs.
