About the Capitol West Club

The Capitol West Boys & Girls Club opened its doors in 1985. Located in Salt Lake City's Fairpark Neighborhood, the Club serves over 700 kids every year. Club members enjoy:

  • Sports in our gym
  • Computer lab
  • Homework help
  • Field trips
  • Arts
  • A dedicated staff of trained Youth Development Professionals
  • Free snack and dinner served Monday through Friday
  • Much more!

Transportation is offered from Backman, Rose Park, Newman, and Washington elementary schools and Northwest Middle School. The Club is located within walking distance of Jackson and Washington elementary schools, and Bryant Middle School has a bus stop near the Club. Transportation provided in part by a grant from Union Pacific Foundation.

Elementary Program Teen Program
Ages: 6 to 12 13 to 18
Hours: Monday through Thursday: 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday: 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Friday: 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Cost: $10 per year $10 per year

Summer Program


Elementary Program Teen Program
Ages: 6 to 12 13 to 18
Hours: Monday through Friday: 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday: 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Cost:* $10 per year $10 per year
Dates: June 8 - Aug. 14 June 8 - Aug. 14

*Summer program is included with school year membership


Kid's Café

Kids Café provides dinner to all Club members Mon. through Fri. from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
